      English Teacher

As I always wanted to teach English the best thing for me was to study the language in its own country. So 1997 was the year when I left Greece and I started my academic studies in England. Somehow I managed to live in different places such as Chichester, London, Wolverhampton and back to London again which gave me the opportunity to meet many people and make friends from different places in the UK. After obtaining my BA and MA degrees in English I moved back to my home town where I taught English at a frontistirio for 7 months. I returned to the UK to do my Post-graduate Certificate in Education.

Finishing my Teaching post-graduate course in 2004 I started working for Reading College -TVU- where I worked for 2 years for the Learning Difficulties department. Living in the UK for so many years and travelling around and meeting a lot of people has given to me the chance to get to know the British culture and customs.

In 2006 Chris and I decided to start a new life in Greece and since then we have been living and working as English Teachers in Komotini. I have worked at a frontistirio, done one-to-one lessons and I have been employed as a sessional teacher for the academic years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

Moreover, my vast experience of teaching has helped me to understand the needs of my students as well as to adapt my English lessons to their needs.

      English Teacher

After graduating from Southampton University in 2000, I spent several weeks travelling around Greece.

Having fallen in love with the country, I took my teaching certificate and spent 6 months working as English Teacher in Komotini in 2003.

On getting married, Katerina and I returned permanently in 2006, since when I have been teaching English full time.

Despite the current financial situation in Greece, it remains a fantastic place to teach because of the value both students and parents place on the importance of education.
